LUCA SIGURTÀ / PANICSVILLE
Split - oneside LP 12", 2012
Luca Sigurtà is very active in the electronic music scene, playing in solo and with Harshcore and Luminance Ratio. In Hookers he composes a cold and frozing atmosphere, with gusts of noises and drones together with a bare drum, the song ending surprisingly with an ecstatic mood. Noise veterans Panicsville plays Paura nella Città dei Morti Viventi mixing old schoool industrial together with their strong oniric and terrifying fantasy: organ, synth drums and samples are used to compose a song that can give you a perfect idea of their great narrative skills. Side B is screenprinted by Frohike.

TERRAPIN
Killing HF Harlow - CD, 2012
Terrapin are Giovanni Lami & Shaun McAlpine, an impro duo based on real time processing field recordings, analog instruments and digital sounds, all played and processed live. The fundamental idea behind the project is vivisection, holding Harry Frederick Harlow as an example of brutality, anthropocentrism, speciesism and destructive practices against animals. In 50′s and 60′s he has conducted tons of experiments on rhesus monkeys. “The effects of 6 months of total social isolation were so devastating and debilitating that we had assumed initially that 12 months of isolation would not produce any additional decrement. This assumption proved to be false; 12 months of isolation almost obliterated the animals socially”.

LUCA SIGURTÀ
Bliss - CD, 2012
Versatility has always been what sets Luca Sigurtà apart. His new solo album exhibits his most dreamy side. There are five tracks which sit between cinematic drone music and Angelo Badalmenti. It is a soundscape for a sunny afternoon in the North of Europe, filled with white light that illuminates our mind and the presence of distant noise. Shared between the passion for silence and noise, Luca Sigurtà made several releases on labels like Creative Sources, Afe Records, Dokuro, Lisca, Tulip. He also plays with Harshcore and Luminance Ratio. On stage he uses tapes, analogical sources and electronic stuff of any sort.

LUMINANCE RATIO / STEVE RODEN
Split - 7", 2012
Luminance Ratio release their first split collaboration, featuring the American musician, artist and performer Steve Roden. Luminance Ratio present the new line-up which involves the experimental guitarist Luca Mauri and the noiser Luca Sigurtà, besides the original member Gianmaria Aprile and Andrea Ferraris. The band give us the track “Reoccuring Dreams”, which walks the thin line between electro-acoustic avant-garde and dreamy psychedelia. Steve Roden, by his side, presents the song “Marvelous Is Flairs”: arch drones, vocal loops and field recordings driven by a melancholic pulsation.

ALBERTO BOCCARDI
Self titled - CD, 2012
Soundscapes that alternate unstable vibrations of the earth’s surface to static animal references. Acoustic instruments, electronics, voice and field recordings, in the first work by Alberto Boccardi, tell emotional phases grown from the memories but living in the present. The use of sound is purely functional to instinct, and to the desire to define the boundaries of otherwise ephemeral images. Alberto Boccardi is looking to recreate deep emotional soundscapes working with minimal elements and focusing on the suspension and on the contrast between sound and silence.

NEWTONE2060
Shot - 12", 2011
Extracts of Charles Bukowski’s poetic works overlap on the interweavings and multiple stratified references in the Newtone2060’s music, thus becoming a recognizable and characterizing feature of this work. Bukowski’s poetry, rich in meaning and suggestions, adds up as a further reference, coherently with the trio’s musical aesthetics. The representation of man’s decadence and, at the same time, the quest for and acknowledgement of beauty in the details and crevices of this general condition, are the two opposing themes that act as the album’s file rouge.

ASPEC(T)
Waspnest - 12", 2010
Aspec(t) are SEC_ and Mario Gabola from Naples, Italy. Their music shares the timbrical research and the execution control typical of some radical impro music (John Butcher, Jim Denley, Bruce Russell), but meets the visceral intensity and the obscure poetic of the new aktionsm and of noise music as well as the research on analog devices and concrete sound materials of the sonic poetry (Lionel Marchetti, Jerome Noetinger). The result is a fascinating and inextricable forest of sounds: frenetic structures, noise explosions, ancestral cries, an unceasing perversion of the soundscape and the time stream.

MARUTTI / BALBO
Detrimental Dialogue - CD, 2010
Detrimental Dialogue is the first collaboration between Andrea Marutti and Fausto Balbo and it deeply explores various types of analogue and digital synthesis and live electronics elements. The album presents four experimental electronic pieces whose exact classification eludes us since their musical contents are rich of the most disparate suggestions. In a formula full of its own natural-born personality, we find elements that recall prominent experimental forms – sometimes pseudo-abstract – rich of fragments, loops and “clusters” of sounds that bear a pronounced and exhibited synthetic matrix.

JEALOUSY PARTY
Live - CD, 2010
Jealousy party, active Florentine ensemble from 1995, rape the suggestions of the free music (jazz and not only), avant-rock , the disturbed and unsociable electronics, squirts of songs, saxs, laptop and cds in flames and histrionic vocal manipulations. The mutant project expresses with delirium and destructured transparency the synthesis among creative astractism, expressive urgency, mad avant-gardist, theatricality and punk attitude.

LUMINANCE RATIO
Like Little Garrisons Besieged - CD, 2009
Luminance Ratio is a collaborative effort joining sound artists Eugenio Maggi, Gianmaria Aprile and Andrea Ferraris. “Like Little Garrisons Besieged” brings them far from their respective discographies and finds them sailing in the apparently quiet waters of free-folk, electroacoustics and minimal drones. The music, resulting from live sessions and painstaking studio work, is meticulously thought to combine electronics with analog/traditional instruments. Featured on this release is Paul Bradley’s personal reinterpretation of their collective work, assembling an expanded “remix concrète” out of the single tracks.

A SPIRALE
Agaspastik - CD, 2009
Try to imagine Kevin Drumm and Bhob Rainey playing rock together, with a drummer that deviate their already deviant music playing something coming from the sixties. The aim is to make music “not playing” (barbarous music, quoting Cornelius Cardew), a torn body that spits blood, whose only movement is generated by spastic contractions due to injuries. Agaspastik represents the “step beyond” of A spirale that, from electroacoustic destructuration of their past works, expand their range of possibility and control over the sound matter, losing themselves in the languages of radical improvisation.

ILLÀCHIME QUARTET
I’m Normal, My Heart Still Works - CD, 2009
Illàchime Quartet is an instrumental ensemble based in Naples (Italy) that joins electronics and acoustic instruments. It gathers sounds and noises from the surroundings as well as scattered fragments of acoustic memories, which form the texture for the interventions of the musicians along rough and terse lines, often improvised. Final target: to intrigue and to seduce the audience by means of an unconventional, highly kinematic sonic experience. Several fine musicians have given their contribution to the album. Among them, some important international artists like: Mark Stewart, Graham Lewis, Rhys Chatham and Salvatore Bonafede.

EX-P
Carpaccio esistenziale - CD, 2008
Entity formed by musicians strongly professing their psychedelic faith , sons of post-modern breaking-up, incapable of choosing between jazz noise and Italian tunes of Japanese manga, ill at ease in paying our respects both to Pink Floyd and to the most tremendous metal . After ten years, conflagration leaves room to the need of building up a more constant and meditative way, creating EX-P. Improvisation and an estranged kind of sound are still the main features, searched inside the huge territories of rock.

TANAKE
3ree - CD, 2007
In the early days Tanake meant to reach structure by means of improvisation, but time left the songwriter soul all alone, and Tanake’s been surrounded by the never ending claustrophobic spaces of pure improvisation. Melody and cacophony, the opposites stays togheter in a meeting of melodic dissonances proud of generating rarefied climaxes slackenly generating anxiety, instruments stroken to create sweet melodies, or sometimes fondled till they roar their pain.

The result is an original sound in which is possible to get a glimpse of minimalism, free-jazz and de-structured rock. I/O is the sum of two well defined half: one-half is acoustic and it is composed by doublebass and drums, and the other-half is electric, filtered and with real-time samples, and it is composed by voice and guitar.

Hidden Or Just Gone - CD, 2006
History and imagination hardly can trace both the portrait and life of an explorer such Sebastian Caboto. Fascinated by this incertitude, Caboto try to pronounce electricity, convulsion, wanderer music. As well as for the mysterious navigator the band draws its name from, it’s hard to distinguish between the visionary exploration of some distant lands’ signals and the rough sailor addicted to alcohol and brothels. Till a whale will prosegue the travel of a run aground ship.

EX-P
Ancora Saigon - CD, 2006
Ex-P are an Italian trio formed by Andrea Chiuni, Alessandro Allera and Diego Rosso. It’s not really easy to define their style, as using words like “prog”, “electric jazz” or “post-rock” would be equally partial. Ex-P’s instrumental pieces frequently reminded of the bottomless cauldron of Italian ’70′s movie soundtracks, where you could find often daring mixes of pop/folk melody and contemporary experimentation.

DEEP END
Kiss The Light Goodbye - CD, 2005
Two guitars, samples, a keyboard and a drum-kit, always on the edge between harmony and dissonance, quiet parts and “solid-drumming”, long suite and short diddies, song-writing and deconstructionism, math rock and melody, they could also remind some Washington/N.Y. post punk outfit. The record shows a band in the middle of a major changing process: experimentation with new instruments and different song structures are the key elements of this release. Without doubt an album graced by many faces, moods and changing musical landscapes.
